New Techniques + Steppin' Out November Newsletter
Now that Halloween has passed, our students are busy working on new techniques in class. They'll continue to develop their movement vocabulary through the end of the semester in mid-January. While students may be sad to see their pumpkin dances go, there are new treats in store; the winter season is full of themes just perfect for dancing.

MOVEMENT OF THE MONTH: POINT YOUR TOES, BATMAN!
The most beautiful dancing can look "unfinished" if our feet aren't working in coordination with our bodies. A great way to emphasize this is to have your dancers try skipping across the floor without pointed toes. Sometimes doing the "wrong" thing helps us notice how great it feels when we do it correctly. After a few rounds of dangling toes, your dancers will be ready to point 'em like a ballerina.
DANCE IN THE NEWS
This American Ballet Theater Corps ballerina brought Aunt Viv's moves from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to life for Halloween: Watch Erica Lall set the "barre" high.
QUICK TIP
Reward stickers from the end of class clogging up your dance bags? Buy a tiny notebook or journal and let you children fill pages full of stickers they can look back on for years to come.
