Class highlight: Creative Movement for ages 4-6
Teacher Emily leads a wonderful, 45-minute class on Mondays that delights and challenges some of our youngest students. In this class, 4-6 year olds can be found swooping around the room like an eagle, slinking across the floor like an inch work, covering their bodies in imaginary slime while learning the names of different body parts, running and jumping in rhythmic patterns, learning basic technique and vocabulary, and playing plenty of contemporary dance games. Emily's Creative Movement class is equally designed for those who have some dance experience as well as for students who have never set foot in a dance studio before! Register now for Creative Movement on Mondays at 4:00pm.
Class highlight: Pop Jazz for ages 11+
Inspired by classical jazz as well as the ever-popular TikTok dances flooding our feeds, Pop Jazz combines energetic rhythms and expressive movements of jazz with modern, upbeat pop music creating a fun and dynamic environment. Teacher Angela leads students through basic technique and vocabulary specific to jazz dance, and as well as choreography set to contemporary, popular music. This Friday evening class is great for dancers with little to no dance experience! Register now for Pop Jazz on Fridays at 5:00pm.
Dance in the News: Wicked

Movement of the Month: Balance
Balancing acts aren’t just for circus performers—they’re a crucial component of everyday health and fitness, helping everyone, from athletes to seniors, maintain coordination, prevent injuries, and enjoy an active lifestyle. If you think about it, you could consider every step you take to be a mini balance challenge.
Begin by simply balancing on one foot in any position that's comfortable. If you want to add some basic ballet technique to it, point your foot by the side of your ankle to find a turned in coupé position. Then try raising it to the side of the knee for a turned in passé position (sometimes we call these flamingoes in class). Our intermediate and advanced dancers can also try both the coupé and the passé positions while turned out. For an added challenge, try any of these positions while rising up onto the ball of your foot, balancing in elevé.
